And it’s lovely! Thick and soft and fluffy. I am satisfied.
It’s actually been finished for a while, but I just go around to snapping a photo of it.
Boooooy, did that attached icord give me trouble. I watched and re-watched this tutorial and this video, certain that they were missing a crucial step in the process. But I finally figured it out, and the rest was a breeze.
(Except, full disclosure, I eventually gave up on the provisional cast-on, so I didn’t graft my ends neatly as I might have done. Instead I just sort of stitched them together haphazardly. Not my best work, there.)
Now to send it.
(In other news: It’s Spring!!! Take a look at these gorgeous pink magnolia blossoms around the corner from my house.)
Here’s the knitters’ mumojumbo for those who’d like to know: The pattern is the Eleventh Hour Marled Blanket from Purl Bee. I’m usingCascade Magnum in the color “Sphere” andCascade Superwash 128 in “Ecru.” (It’s way cheaper than the Purl Soho-brand Gentle Giant and Super Soft Merino that the pattern calls for.) As suggested by Purl Bee, I’m working with US 36, 40-inch circular needles and US 17 DPNs.
